NESC and SpaceX Parachute Extraction Test
The NASA Engineering and Safety Center (NESC) and Space Exploration Technologies Corporation (SpaceX) utilized the photography team to capture high speed video and still photography of the parachute extraction system from a mockup of the parachute bay from the Dragon 2 spacecraft. The photography team and I were responsible for setup and teardown 14 high speed cameras, including two on top of the gantry, to record and document the drop test. In addition to high speed video, the photo team took still photography to capture the support staff preparing the test article for the experiment.
